The young Ugandan entrepreneur and KipTalk C.E.O has assured Ugandans how he must fulfill his dream of having KipTalk as the most used social media application in East Africa. Mwakwe Rashid started KipTalk as a small networking platform for people to chat in small communities like universities , companies and small meetings created by employers.
As time passed by, KipTalk was embraced by Kampala where it was launched first for a global usage and people loved the fact that it was the very first social networking platform made by a Ugandan. The event that sparked the grand launch of the social media application took place at Kabira Country club in Bukoto where it was graced by the Minister for ICT in Uganda Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi who urged Ugandans to keep using the platform and use it in the most appropriate manner so that the government can as well give a helping hand to the management as a way yo boost their market value.

On the launch day, KipTalk got over 10,000 new user accounts signed up and the platform seemingly looks awesome and able to facilitate any numbers of users from different locations.
The ICT minister also gave out two different vehicles to the management of KipTalk as a gift to Kickstart their promotional activities and other countrywide activities.
